~*THE GIRL WHO LOVES to LEVITATE*~2/25/2011

1. Who is the artist, and where does she live?
The artist is Alice, and she lives in Los Angeles, CA, United States.

2. What is levitation?
The phenomenon of a person or thing rising into the air by apparently supernatural means.

3.How does the artist make herself look like she is levitating?
When she feels the moment strike, she presses the shutter button down and then, quite literally, "jumps" into place.

4. Why would strangers think she is mentally ill?
When she was jumping at a famous sightseeing spot in western Tokyo, workers at a souvenir shop shop were frightened by how she was jumping. They were whispering things like "is the girl mentally ill" and 'Do we need to call the police?'

5. What is her reason for taking photos of "levitation"?
Her reason for taking photos of "levitation" is that she is taking jumping photos for her wedding party's slide show.

*ADDING VARIETY* 2/18/2011

1. Describe one technique listed that you already use. Give me a specific example.
One technique that is listed that I already use is playing with the flash because I know when and where to use the flash.

2. Describe two techniques you hadn't thought of using before.
Two technique that i hadn't though of using before is Experiment With Different 'modes' that is the basic point and shoot cameras have different 'shooting modes' and Avoid The Group Shot Blink that is when photographing people try to take multiple shots, especially group photos.

3. Which technique listed will you try to use next time we take photos?
The technique listed that I will try to use next time we take photos is Use Continuous Exposure Modes.

4. Why should you move around your subject?
You should move your subject around to get different shots at different angels.

5. Why is it a good idea to use continuous shoot?
It is a good idea to use continuous shoot because you would have more photos to choose from.

6. What is the one last tip, and how does it help you become a better photographer?

*PHOTO PLANNING* 2/18/2011

1. Describe in your own words what a "snap happy photographer" is.
The happy photographer is when you hold the camera at arm length at an angle that is not understandable. Also the result of the image would be wonderful, you didn't take the image that what but you was lucky to get a wonderful shot.

2. Describe in your own words what an "an over planner" is.
The over planner is when you take all your time trying to find the right angle to position yourself so you can get a good shot at the image that your trying to shoot.

3. Explain why you are either a snap happy photographer, or an over planner. Give one specific example of how you work.
I am a happy photographer because when i'm taking a photo I hold my camera at arm length and I don't care how I snap my pictures but I be getting some amazing shots.

Two questions that are listed in this article that I have is What is the subject of this photo? and Is there more than one subject? If so would it be better to capture them with multiple shots?
5.Why can taking too much time kill a creative moment?
Taking a photo too much time can kill the creative moment because you would be repeating the same the over and over people would get bored by it.

6. Why is it important to ask yourself questions as you take photos?
It is important to ask yourself questions as you take your photos because you can get better shots and become a better photographer.

*DEPTH OF FIELD* *2/16/2011*




1. What is DOF?
Depth of Field is the amount of light that is in the photo that you are taking.

2. What is the difference between a small & a large DOF?
The difference between a small and a large DOF is small depth of field shows you one thing that is in-focus in your image and large depth of field puts everything in your image in- focus.

3. How do your photos show DOF?
The way how my photos show depth of field is they show the amount of light that is let in the photos.
